History of MAD
Malaysia Association of Dodgeball embarked on a MAD journey in 2008 and is affiliated with National Sports Council & Ministry of Youths and Sports in September 2009.
The President of Malaysia Association of Dodgeball, YB Datuk Samson David Maman explains
“MAD is ambitious to develop dodgeball as an alternative extreme sport and is serious to make dodgeball as Malaysia #1 community sport”.
In 2008, MAD developed the annual Campus Dodgeball League, a championships for colleges & universities clubs and MAD first Campus Champion hail from Segi University College Kota Damansara - Barbarians Dodgeball Club.
In 2009, MAD is affiliated with International Dodgeball Federation (IDBF) and in 2010 MAD with Hong Kong Dodgeball Association, Philippines Dodgeball Association and Dodgeball Association of Singapore formed Asian Dodgeball Federation and hosted International Dodgeball Friendly Matches.
In 2010, MAD held the first National Dodgeball Championships where clubs from all over Malaysia competed at zone levels before progressing to the National Finals held at MITC, Ayer Keroh Melaka. The current National Champions reign from Gurun, Kedah – Red Fire Dodgeball Club.
Mission & Vision
Mission : Working closely with Clubs and Affiliates to make dodgeball the #1 Community Sport in Malaysia.
Vision : To witness and experience community development through dodgeball clubs’ activities.
